News: mid-autumn festival
Today officially wraps up a busy Mid-Autumn Festival period for us here at the Confucius Institute. Just released this morning was a Lantern Making Workshop in partnership with OzAsia Festival. More information can be found below, along with information about an exciting talk coming up as part of their 'OzAsia Talks' series this year. It is fantastic to see so much still happening despite the festival not being held in the same capacity. We can't wait to see what 2021 looks like for OzAsia Festival!
Presented together with OzAsia Festival, join us from home or your classroom for a digital lantern making workshop by artist Paula Gallagher.
Last Friday we held another Mid-Autumn Festival event this time with International Student Services, which is where the above image was taken from! Students were able to enjoy moon cakes, live music, play traditional Chinese games and have their names translated into Chinese. We still have one more activity planned to help celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, an online lantern making workshop with OzAsia Festival...
To celebrate Confucius Day, we asked several students what they know about him. The students gave us some insightful and interesting answers.
