Hosted by the Elder Conservatorium of Music, the sounds of China are set to fill Elder Hall for this special concert event.

Celebrating the richness of Chinese musical heritage stretching back thousands of years, audiences are treated to a suite of symphonies spanning from the ancient to the contemporary, from classical to folk and popular music.

Featuring an array of local musicians joined by international artists via video streaming, the evocative sounds of guqin, guzheng and erhu along with Western instruments are at the core of this global collaboration from the oldest tertiary music school in Australia.

This year's Chinese Music Day, unfortunately, sold out in two days.
