Our Institute's flagship programme, the 'China Briefing Series' brings relevant experts to Adelaide to give public lectures and run discussion forums on the most recent developments in China's political, economic and cultural spheres of that are of the most concern to the Australian public.
From it's inception in 2009, this series, delivered free to the public has covered a diverse range of topics including:
- Democracy in China
- China's perspective on Australia
- LGBTI issues in China
- China-Japan relations
- Chinese rock'n'roll
- Australia-China Free Trade agreement
The Series has attracted an incredibly talented, experienced and diverse range of speakers from all over the globe. Notable speakers have included former foreign minister Alexander Downer, former China ambassador Geoff Raby, Dr Minquan Liu from the Asian Development Bank Institute and Dr Teng Jimeng, a regular of Chinese Central Television.
