Confucius Institute Scholarship

Confucius Institute Scholarships are available for students who want to study Chinese language in China for one or two semesters as well as for those who want to get the Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

How to Apply

Step 1: Please send in your HSK and HSKK reports and a brief application statement along with your academic transcript to Emily Lee  requesting a  recommendation letter. Please read recruitment procedures thoroughly and have all documents required on hand before applying online.

Step 2: Go to website http://cis.chinese.cn and register for username and password.

Step 3: Please fill all the items the application form requires. Save them online. Please DO NOT SUBMIT your application yet.

Step 4: Please make a 15 minute appointment with the Confucius Institute to finalise your application.

Although online application is open all year round on a trial basis some of the universities do have their own submission date to apply the scholarships. Please check the Chinese university's website for specific deadline.
