Dr Ning Zhang (PhD, MEdSt)
Deputy Director
Dr Zhang has extensive experience in teaching Chinese as a second language at university level having taught at the University of Adelaide since 1989, and previously at Griffith University. She has taught Chinese at all levels from beginners to native speaker classes.
Dr Zhang is currently a member of Senior Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia (SSABSA) Subject Advisory Committee and has served on various SSABSA committees for over fifteen years.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr Zhang conducts research into the history, state and future of vocational education in China, and is rewriting her doctoral dissertation on these themes. She has also published work on teaching Chinese and vocational education.
Dr Zhang also has professional level NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) qualifications and undertakes interpreting and translation work for the University when required.
