Annette Wheatley

Annette Wheatley's career path has enabled her to gain experience both in the corporate and the non-profit sectors with a focus on Greater China. She has worked for the European Commission in several positions, such as a 4 year job assignment working in Beijing for an EU-funded training program ("EU-China Junior Managers Training Program"). Her main role was to establish a specific China business environment seminar program for the participants. She has also worked as an external consultant to the European Commission evaluating international development aid projects (Asia- focussed). Annette's principal experience in the corporate world was gained through her working for the German chemical giant BASF, where she was entrusted with several functions in marketing and controlling, both in Germany and in Mexico.

She has lived and worked in Greater China, Europe and Mexico and is not only fluent in several languages, but also has developed a keen interest in cross-cultural communication and an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
