National Accreditation Authority for Translators & InterpretersNAATI stands for the National Accreditation Authority for Translators & Interpreters. NAATI is the body within Australia authorised to test skill levels of potential interpreters and translators. In order to guarantee the highest standards and confidence in the official system, the NAATI examinations are quite difficult and test applicants’ knowledge and mastery of both the target language, such as Chinese, and English. As result, any person wishing to sit for the NAATI tests for Chinese are encouraged to undertake preliminary training such as that offered by TAFE.
